Won't it? This time I want a Lenovo factory reset with all the bells and whistles, not just a clean empty Windows 8.1.

I got the wim file, but I'm hesitant to use it, because I suspect that it will replace my existing recovery image. I tried Googling for it and found a suggestion to use an install.wim file from a standard Windows ISO file and then instruct the system to take recovery files from it (I'm talking about this instruction from Microsoft). The recovery partition does exist ( screenshot), but it looks like the system doesn't know the path to it ( screenshot). And previous recovery USB is already overwritten with other files. The option "Copy the recovery partition from the PC to the recovery drive" is greyed out ( screenshot). When trying to make a recovery USB again, the system doesn't allow me to copy all the necessary files. I actually managed to solve this by downloading a clean installation file through Microsoft media creation tool and then using my recovery USB to restore the system to factory defaults.

How can I do a clean install of Windows 8.1 with the recovery USB? Or is there any alternative way of getting my (purchased together with the laptop) OS back? If I select my USB recovery disk, it just repeats the cycle, bringing me back to the same interface that doesn't give me an option of a clean install. All it does is it simply restarts the computer, turning on different options like BIOS settings or Boot choices. I tried choosing different options listed under "Use a device" menu without any result. Whichever option I choose, it doesn't allow me to do a clean install of a new operating system, but just tries to reset/restore/repair the operating system I already have ( screenshot).

The interface boots fine and then offers me several options ( screenshot). Now I'm trying to reinstall Windows 8.1 back from the recovery USB I created beforehand. It had Windows 8.1 pre-installed, but it quickly started bothering me with its "charms", so I wiped everything and installed Windows 7.
